Look at the specs for the latest Ram and Ford 3500's. With their new frames and running gear they are completely capable of handling those loads. More capable than MDT rigs of yesterday.
Just like the current half tons that have better ratings than the diesels of a few years ago, the big brothers to those trucks have grown up too.
