ThorCA was very big, for the California market, at the time. That was all pre-recession though. The recession devastated the toy hauler landscape, many brands were lost. I used to maintain a list of orphaned Toy Haulers as part of the complete list of toy haulers, that list was longer then the ones being made though. Today there are only 19 independents left, Forest River & Thor have bought out a bunch including Coachman, Palomino, Crossroads, Dutchmen, Heartland and KZ.
Owning a ThorCA isn't a bad thing, just need to know where to get parts and how to fix some things. Thankfully not a lot of custom stuff in them like you find today. Overall the line seemed to fair pretty good during that era.
