X5 for the one ton, also the long bed, much more usable space especially if you add an auxiliary tank (the BEST upgrade I have ever opted for; can always shop around for best fuel price and never have to worry whether I can get in, or out of, a gas station). If buying new, or nearly new, get one with the OEM 'puck' under-bed mounting system; no rails to interfere when you take the hitch out.
