Yep, looks like you are good for weight police. I don't know anything about the 5.3l engine but coupled with a 3.42 rear end you might be wishing for a lower rear end ratio or a bigger engine in Colorado. Especially when the air gets thin. Only way to know is try it. Take a road trip down to I10 around Kerrville and see how it does on those grades. That will give you an idea. While there stop at Buckhorn RV Park. Very nice park right off of I10.
Go I35E to Belton then 190 West to 281 and then South to San Antonio and West on I10. It will tell you a lot about your combo.
