It sounds like you are talking aobut EZ Lube axles (with the grease zerk in the spindle). If so, it sounds like you filled the whole hub with grease which was not necessary. All you needed to do was grease the bearings. About 5 shots in each wheel would have been sufficient depending on how long its been since you did it last.
I have never greased them. :( I Know it's my ignorance, but I had to remove all 6 wheels to get to the hubs. Well, At least now I know there is grease in there. Also, All I need to do is pump new grease in to replace the old. I have some other trailers w/buddy bearings and I am so used to them. If you don't put a cap over them, they will sling grease all over the place.
