What should it cost to have this done! Double axle! Last time I had it done, it was $200.00. I went to a dealer and they wanted 269.00? Thinking that's high! Any thoughts, other than do it myself, ...

Hi Scott 85: Sorry I have not looked at this section for a while. Even if you repack a bearings after 60K or 100K you will still find functional grease when you take the drum off. I have never in all my years taken bearings out that were dry or lacking enough grease. And some of these bearing have gone for 10 years plus. I believe that it is a myth that is continued to make a lot of money for something that does not need to be done that often.
