Wheel chocks

I still wonder how the chocks on the ground do work, I guess I wonder what keeps them from slipping on the ground as well. Anyway, does anyone have a picture of their wood chocks? I would like to use some of the wood I have around my house!

Exactly. Its very rare that I'm in a site that's not level fore/aft. I certainly use chocks in a case I'm not. I have seen serval people push their rig off the jack blocks in my days. Not good.

Yep, I got a couple of those and they do work very well. I mainly use the Roto-Choks, but I have the HF jobbies if I ever feel the need.

Well, it may not move any when those are down, but many people chock the wheels before they drop the trailer, to preclude any movement before the other stuff is done.

Ditto on that and TT don't have landing legs. I have had a trailer start to roll backwards when there is no obvious slope the instant that the truck is disconnected from the hitch. Lesson learned, put chocks in first then disconn truck.

Any kind of grade, nothing to hold the wheels, the landing legs would need to slide before the trailer would move. OTOH, the leg are made to hold trailer up, not back. It's yours, you can do what you want.

Using chocks is also a good idea in case of strong winds, an incline is not the only reason to use them.

Have always used some type of chock since my first pop-up. Made my own similar to the ones used to chock military planes. Basically two connected via a heavy rope. Most of the time I can just pull them out once hitched.

I guess to choke your trailer; you have to get your hands around the kingpin and squeeze hard!
