We in fact have a pressure regulator with a guage on it we purchased from CampingWorld...about $55. I have it set for 55psi. It sure is nice to see what the actual pressure is but that is just me. We went through a number of the simple brass ones that cost just a few buck but always seemed to have had problems with them. Personally like the new one. Threw out this question to see if I was on track and apparently I am. Appreciate the comments.

- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerSo which of the Watts adjustable regulators with guage is better, or does it matter?
..and why just Watts? Valterra makes a similar one that is adjustable and has a guage - Tango__AE7UIExplorerx2 on the Watts regulator with the guage.
- AllworthExplorer IIAlways.
- restlesswindExplorerI use a pressure regulator every time. For just an overnight stop,I use the cheapo preset one,for longer stays I use the Watts adjustable (from the RV water filter Store)set at 55 lbs.
Using the Watts you get more water volume that using the "cheapo"
BTW don't fool yourself thinking that you can just turn the outside spiget down to reduce the pressure. It doesn't work that way. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIThe fixed pressure pressure reducers are a joke unless you like very restricted water.
Spend the money and buy a Watts regulator that is adjustable with a gauge built in. I check the water pressure before hooking up with a screw on gauge. I use the regulator if the psi is over 60. - Tango__AE7UIExplorerSimple answer:
Always!
Better safe than sorry.
