Yea, because there are no idiots at Pismo in June! ;) lol
No kidding... Pismo is the mecca of idiots all summer long. If we go its only early Spring or Fall. - rkortesExplorer

We boondock on busy holidays weekends and avoid all the hassles outlined above. We'll be camping at 8K' elevation just over an hour from home, riding our toys and having campfires nightly are our favorite things when boondocking.
We boondock at 8k+ but typically this time of the year there is too much snow or in the case this year its too muddy. Memorial Day is a floating holiday for me as we are in outage/overhaul/turn-around at work. :( - BedlamModeratorIt's a mix of sand and Mount St. Helens ash at Moses Lake. We run oiled 2-stage air filter pods with a pre-filter over the top.

Moses Lake will be our destination. Arriving early and leaving late clears out much of the headaches.

...this year I messed up and made reservations at Trillium Lake on MT Hood. We shall see.
I haven't been there in years, but it's a beautiful area. - BedlamModeratorWe'll be camping outside of the ash and dust on some lake front and trailer in daily from the east access. We used to come in from the west, but have had too many close calls on that washboard east of the neighborhood. Anyone on this forum heading out? We usually loop the perimeter and make a stop at the South Pole.

We're at Moses at least once year. We have have been in Prosser and Leavenworth already this year and will be in Quincy and Spokane later this year. This rolling stone gathers no moss (even if I do live on the wet side).
Moss? I remember that stuff when I lived on the Wet side too.
Saw this story and thought I'd pass it along to you. Crowds prompt camping change at Moses Lake dunes - mikensallytExplorerMe and the son are heading out to Boerne Tx to visit my sister. Not really sure if I'll take my grand daughter on this trip though.
