Great homework so far. Then you can also understand the huge difference in DW and DL. If you're bringing the youngens', there is no forgetting the magic of DW. FW (fort wilderness campground) at DW is amazing as is everything there. DL is a much different experience; traffic, surroundings, etc.
But anyway, warm welcomes to USA. I am sure you and your travel companions will have a great time no matter what you decide. But I agree it needs 3 digits of savings to reconsider.
Just to mention and not throw much caution into the dream, but make a significant check into the dealer who you are purchasing from. SCAMS do happen with unworthy people in finely established companies / dealers / businesses. It may be one point of consideration as I think you mentioned about family being in Dallas area. If you ever needed someone locally to address some claim...
