I have unofficially measured my new rig to 13'8" - unofficial because it was measured on uneven pavement....plan on going tomorrow to a local school's level parking lot and making measurement. I feel your sweat...as we had to go under an overpass labeled 13'10".....on I-95. We made it....Oh, the brochure sez my rig is 13'.....I guess they don't count the AC unit up there on the front. My rig is riding level.
I bought a device that I have attached to the hood....it uses sound waves to measure overheads.....The Giraffe G4. It needs to know how I my rig is, and how high it is mounted (on hood). the only draw back is that you have to be going 30 MPH or less for it to get an accurate reading....which was not possible on I-95.
This new rig will probably cause us to take detours at some point.
OBTW - we already got caught by a tree branch on the roof - our FIRST time out...used eternabond already.
Folks - you need to measure. Our previous 5ver was "only" 12'10".
