Which 5th wheel hitch do you recommend?

Hello to all I'm planing on up grading to a Voltage 3800 from a tag behind trailer. Therefor I will be needing to buy a 5th wheel hitch, but whice one to go with is the question…
I currently have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 3500 Diesel 4x4 4 door long bed Dually. The gcwr is 23500 lbs and the Voltage is :

Unloaded Weight 15,060
Hitch Weight 3,463
Cargo Capacity 3,940

I was thinking of going with the: COMPANION™ - 5TH WHEEL HITCH 20k RVK3500
What are your thought or suggestions?

    Yes, TrailerSaver's are great and do exactly as the name states. We have the BD3 version.

    You are correct. You do not need on board air.


    Sounds to me like on board air is something you would want to have to add and remove air for ease of hitching.

    I don't see how it is as easy as a Companion to remove.


    We carry a hand held air compressor but have not had to use it during trips, first of the season only. The BD3 comes apart in 3 pieces for easier handling.

    Binkely - she's a oldie patent long since expired (3,870,342) so date is not easy to find ,company literature implies 1920 to 1940.

    nice picture of entire truck hanging from a holland hitch in there.They are originally meant to be mounted upside down from how we use them now ,pups and flat decks i think

    The question you asked is a loaded question.Most owners are biase toward what they own.I would just do your research,ask around at CG and make an educated decision.Numerous good hitches out there.I have a superglide hitch.It has pros and cons.

    I have a 1/8" disk and the jaws are either 1" or 1 1/8".

    Don't know who copied who but I do like the longer handle on the B&W.

    They are both top quality hitches, a person really needs to look at the features of each and buy the one that works best for them.
