Interesting B&W was out of stock???
FYI PullRite and B&W owners are friends. That is why B&W has not built an AutoSlide "SO FAR".
OP don't get sucked by the "so light my child can carry it" with the Andersen. Just look at their Circuis type of video that shows how much weight that the hitch can take with "STRAIGHT DOWN" pressure. Wonder why there is an Ultimate 2??? Well it sure isn't from one folding hitch failure as many seem to think. If you are hauling heavy with one you can expect bed deflecting from the fore and aft pressures.
There are no negatives to any B&W hitch as they are all easy to hitch and unhitch even when TV and RV are on different planes. Simple solid latching mechanism with NO question if you are hitched or not.
Top quality US Made, you can't say that about Curt or REESE.
No Andersen hitch failure, one did bend from hard braking. ONE, and it was replaced , and Andersen redesigned, and to add there was NO damage to truck or fifth wheel, nor did anything come unhooked . As far as bed deflection ,same issue as the B&W bed deflection , easy remedy with shims, SAME as B&W. Yes there ARE B&W negatives, as with ALL hitches. Yes Andersen is US made , same as B&W.
B&W actually had a hitch BREAK apart, but that was not mentioned in the above post, also dropping a fifth wheel with the B&W , which happened ,and caused considerable damage to the bed. That can happen with any conventional hitch, if not hitched properly.. Dropping a fifth with the Andersen is something you can't do when hitched up, its sitting on a ball that you can't slide out from under because you didn't close the jaws like on a conventional hitch.
