Big Sky is just a feature option on a Montana, and there are tons just like it, including mine. Landmark, Sanibel, all the major manufacturers have one, so if you settle on Big Sky there are plenty to look at in that class.
If you want top end, DRV isn't at the top of the top but they are a better built unit. There also plenty of the top end to look at mentioned in here, like Excel, Nuwa, Hitchhiker and some of the others.
Thanks Ant. So would a Big Sky be comparable to your Redwood? Do you feel comfortable that your Redwood would last for a long time with a good bit of mileage? Keep in mind that I take excellent care of my equipment.
I don't need a high end unit. The DRV is only to keep my wife happy with the eye candy and get god build quality. I don't want to insert a silver spoon or anything:)
Time will tell on ours (only 6 months old) but great so far. Ours is very comparable to the Big Sky, just Redwood offered more options like disk and ice and DW. We shopped both. In this class they pretty much are all homogonized with a 12" Lippert frame and 6 pt leveling regardless of brand (sans Artic Fox).
When we get ready to full time, and if I could afford it, I would go top of the list. This one would certainly work, but I would expect higher maintenance and a quicker trade in cycle.
