We have the Spledide stackables and are very pleased with their performance. We have a separate closet for them and the dryer is stacked directly on top of the washer and we have a drain pan installed underneath the washer that will drain out through the bottom of the 5th wheel in case of an accident. We also have an access panel on the outside wall so we can get into the back of the washer/dryer without having to pull them out. Very handy! Do not think ours is strapped down in any way except together. At least I cannot see any type of strapping and they never move when traveling. The washer does shake the RV a bit at the beginning of the spin cycle but that is it. Wouldn't travel without them.
