I don't think I've ever seen meth heads wandering around a camping area anywhere in Colorado. The wildlife poses more of a "threat" than drug users do. Still not sure how they'd be more of a danger to your wife than they would be to you though.
By the way, having spent a great deal of time in the wilderness in the lower 48 states and in Alaska, I am a firm believer that people are more of a threat to wildlife than wildlife is to people.
