Who installs hitch? Car or RV dealership?

That about sums it up.

I, too, have found that small RV dealers or RV repair shops usually have a lot lower hourly rates than big shops. And they almost always have people that have been around RV forever, instead of newbies hired off the street. And they will be happy to sell you the hitch even if you didn't buy the RV there.

Body Shops often will install 5th wheel hitches.

Call around and get some price quotes. Pretty straight forward any shop can do it.

I would avoid places that do not specialize in installing RV hitches.

I installed my own B&W Turnover Ball, and helped my brother install his. If you buy a hitch from a trailer company or hitch dealer, work a deal to have it installed as a package price. I don't think I would ever have a truck dealership install a hitch.

I do it myself.

Don't know about other places but here in Albuquerque CW charges $126.00 an hour for shop time. I am with others that wouldn't trust them to install anything in my truck. You are lucky if anyone there knows jack about the RV's.
