lol your making me tired. I have the same issue with the cable but my knees can still take climbing on the tire.I have a dually so its a little farther reach. As for backing into the pin box I line up the child restraint loop in the back seat. Its dead center its just a little hard to see over my 7000 honda. Your awning I have to use a 2ft step ladder and bend down the arms up against the trailer. Then you can reach the awning to loop over for straps. I do like the laundry basket idea that dam cord is heavy lol
