I use a step ladder to reach over side of the bed of truck to hook up break away cable.
I bought some tennis balls on a telescoping rod at Tractor supply. I put that in the center of the hitch on the very front edge. I line that up with the center of the king pin and back up. Right before I get there step out of the truck and make sure height is good. Then back up rest of the way. Easy. Much easier the the TT we had.
I have a lot more storage then my TT things are easier to get to and much more organized.
Set up easier for me on this 5er no need for boards have Auto level.
Just get sweaty when it is very hot but that also happened on TT.
Sounds like you need a bumper rack on back of 5er.
Sorry you feel it is more work but like a previous poster said. Sell it and go back to TT.
