As pointed out in all the previous posts everyone has their own preferences for their own reasons.
When it comes to storage comparisons and high ceilings in a 5'er versus a TT you might take a look at the trailer in my signature.
Highland Ridge 340 FLR has the same storage as a 5er and high ceilings like a 5er. The tongue weight is heavy so no problem pulling in windy conditions or passing semi's. No Sway. And I still have my truck box.
