Why are rear kitchens not so popular?
I read the thread about rear kitchens and all who have them say that they love them and would have no other. If they are so wonderful, then I wonder why most (90+%) of the floor plans manufactured ...

I beg to differ. I have a rear kitchen and never had a broken dish, glass or bowel. Although I don't eat pickles, not once has anything fallen out of the refrigerator and the cabinets are not trashed. Maybe driver error?
