Why are rear kitchens not so popular?
I read the thread about rear kitchens and all who have them say that they love them and would have no other. If they are so wonderful, then I wonder why most (90+%) of the floor plans manufactured ...

I have always steered away from RK units because I have found that the rear of my TT tosses everything worse than anywhere else. The rear takes more bucking than the front, even though logically it ought to be the same. I always have to open the bathroom cabinets carefully to avoid an avalanche of stuff. 5th wheel would be the same.
My first choice for layout is mid-kitchen, rear bath, front bedroom. My recently purchased TT has all that.
For some odd reason, I have always had an uneasy feeling about rear bedrooms. Reason being, when I'm pulling into a rest stop at O Dark Thirty to bag a few ZZ's, I have always had a fear of somebody driving into the back of my TT with me in it. Not sure why, but I have this little phobia.
