Why are rear kitchens not so popular?
I read the thread about rear kitchens and all who have them say that they love them and would have no other. If they are so wonderful, then I wonder why most (90+%) of the floor plans manufactured ...

We have had and hate mid kitchens. We enjoy cooking and hate to have to get out of the way every time some one wants to move. We do have a rear kitchen and love it. but there are few around. We have never had any thing break in our motorhome or trailers but unlike many of our friends we do not have all the cabinet doors come open every time we go across a bump. Things breaking while traveling is just because people are to lazy to pack and store things right.
We also learned many years ago to put every thing into dish pans of different sizes that fill a shelf so they do not move around. Want some thing pull the pans and look thru. Nothing stacked or pushed into the shelf holding the doors up. We also did this on the boats we lived on for 10 years.
