Why are rear kitchens not so popular?
I read the thread about rear kitchens and all who have them say that they love them and would have no other. If they are so wonderful, then I wonder why most (90+%) of the floor plans manufactured ...

You haven't looked at enough rear kitchens. Anything is possible.
I will add that I have looked at rear kitchen models next to other floor plans of the same manufacturer and the axles on the rear kitchen models were generally set further back.
