We have had rv's for 45 plus years and being able to get to the refrigerator when we travel and stop for lunch or a break is important to us. You can't do that with a rear kitchen unless you put the slide out. Which is not possible in a rest stop.....Just saying....
There are numerous RK 5'ers that do not need the slide out to access the fridge. Many have the fridge on the patio side not blocked by slide or they put the fridge on the slide itself. In fact in our trailer we have full access to the entire trailer, fridge, bathroom, bedroom etc. with the slides in except for a couple kitchen cabinets. Have had no problems with broken dishes etc. Ours does have the Trail Air Equa Flex suspension option.
We love rear kitchens. It allows the living room to be far more open.
