Our '01 CarriLite 734RIK, has 191,000 miles on its wheels. We've never experienced a problem with breakage due to the RK design. TV has 298,000 miles.
I believe that the publicized problem with breakage in RK models is that they were primarily lighter trailers, i.e. more bouncing.
With the island counter providing a U shaped kitchen, theres an effective 15' of connected counter space. It just can't be beat.
My in-laws have a Road Runner 5er with the kitchen set up like this and you are right, the counter space is unreal and it also has a huge living area for the size of the camper (around 29' I think). They love it. We have tried to find a new 5er with this layout without any luck. Anyone know of a new unit with this layout?
What is the layout? I Googled but could not find that model.
There Road Runner has the stove, fig , and pantry with OH storage on the curb side that sides out. The sink is in a bar in the center that is around 6' long or so and connects to the counter that runs all the way across the rear. It has OH cabinets over the bar and across the rear that is full length. The super slide on the street side has the dinette in the very back.
