Ford has a new diesel (old diesel tweaked for more power) for 2015. The Ram still has a little more torque.
Now IF you could buy a Ford truck with a Cummins diesel, the answer would be a slam dunk - Go Ford.
Unfortunately they don't come that way
I think there was a time when your statement was very true but the new Rams are very nice trucks and with the Aisin transmission they are equal to a Ford. On the other hand, the Cummins is an incredible engine but I would not trade my Ford 6.7 for a Cummins. Not that there is a big difference but I have a slight preference for the quieter Ford engine.
Bottom line is that Ford, Ram and GM are all making incredible heavy duty trucks now.
