Look at the Chevy / GMC as we'll. The diesel -Allison combination is unbeatable. I had a Ford deis and didn't like the amount of turbo surge (is this the right terminology?). The Rams we have at work see to have a lot of picky little issues and are frequently in the shop. I've been very happy with my GMC.
Yeah, some pages back I also recommended that OP include GM/Chevy in their research and was jumped on for doing that, and I'm a Ram owner...:)
Never had a picky issue in any of the Dodge/Ram trucks I've owned..only since 2010, so don't know which Ram trucks have the "picky little issues" you're telling us about......I owned 3 Chevy D/A's, thus the reason I recommened they be looked at and had some "picky little issues with a couple of them, but no deal breaker, but I owned Chevy trucs from 75 thu 2010....but my experience with Ram isn't like what you see at "worK", but don't know what "work" truck you're talking about...I have a loaded out Ram Longhorn (sig), and have 20,300 trouble free miles on it, zero issues, tows my 16,200# loaded 5er effortlessly through the mountains...and it's a Longhorn, so I'm setting in the "lap of luxury", so don't know what you're comparing to...Unlike you, I didn't knock any of the Big 3 trucks, just gave opinions and made recommendations.
