You didn't mention what brand your cart is, but the L frame is not a factor with my EZGO. The roof would easily fit between the frames even though my cart is not tall enough for it to be necessary.
I was at an RV show this afternoon and spend some time in a Momentum 385. With the beds up all the way, clearance is exactly the same as my Fuzion. You definitely don't have anything to worry about.
