Will slider hitch work in F-150 with 5.5" box?

??? It won't go into the back position unless it is turned sideways thus missing the tailgate entirely. That is how mine works. Although it is close when strait it never gets close enough to hit in a turn. Yes the pin box gets close to the siderails in a sharp turn but that has nothing to do with the slider but the pin box length.
