While not wide bodies, we towed our 40' 5er up through Alaska, including camping on the Homer Spit, last year (17000 miles total). And yes some places were tight getting into but we made it.
Now this summer we did the Canadian Maritime, which included all the way to the Northern tip of Newfoundland with our new 42' 5er traveling with friends with an identical length 5er. Again some tight places, but we always got in and had a great trip.
For this size 5ers, neither of us would even consider anything less that a Dually, just because of the sheer size and weight of that size rig.
Yes you will get those that say they have pull similar size and weights for years with no problem, but come around a curve in Alaska and have Moose walk out in front of you and see how well that short bed SRW handles that emergency stop, of course Disc Brakes on the 5er really help too.
