- naytherExplorerwe put the clamp on ones on a boat trailer we had. Boat was a V Drive so prop guard hung down real low, always drug on driveways and eventually ground right through the steel. I replaced the prop guard and added the wheels, worked O.K. but that reduces the clearance even more so be aware of that too. With the weld on ones you can position them more easily to get them just below the existing skids.
- cwill925ExplorerI had a Campmaster years ago, very similar to today’s Work and Play. Mine was 24 feet long. The dealership where I purchased my Campmaster added the rear rollers to all the units they sold. It was an option listed in the company brochure, but the dealership owner was a camper, trailer puller and avid outdoorsman. He knew the low profile trailer needed the tail wheels and he was right. I found many times that in parking lot entrances and uneven driveways, the tail wheel prevented dragging the frame or rear valance. The wheels on my trailer were steel with heavy steel brackets.
E-Trailer sells a wheel much like the ones I had.
