Would you pay a welder to reinforce your 5th?
I didn't.
My current '97 32' 5th wheel trailers framing around the pin boxed cracked allowing the pin box to tilt up and down movement while on the road. This progressively got worse each trip. The trailer was under warranty so the dealer did the work. This was my 3rd 5th wheel trailer we bought from this dealer so I wasn't concerned with his work as he did all three with a rear hitch receiver welded to the main frame rails from the suspension on out back.
I've held a certified aircraft jig builder welder classification years ago in my other working life. One thing I learned was crappy looking welds aren't necessarily bad welds from a strength perspective...and good looking welds to the untrained eye can be weak welds from a structural strength perspective.
Anywayz...the trailer now has over 150k miles and yeah the frame work flexes a bit...just like the other two 5th wheel rv trailers we've owned.
