Not that I like to promulgate rumours, but I heard from a credible source that WW will be filing chapter 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankruptcy#Chapters) very shortly.
As far as big companies being in better shape in this economy, 2 words - Bear Stearns (I know I know - sub-prime bust killed BS - remember housing also fueled a lot of RV purchase as well!)
I don't know how chapter 13 would affect any warranty claims, but I think Vspec's experience would probably become more common.
