I own an 08 WW FS2500 with the thicker tongue and A-frame. I have not experienced any of the problems stated in the settlement documentation. I have towed my rig nearly 20K miles and have spent better than 75 nights in it. It has never been to the dealer for warranty service and the only work thats been done to it are the mods I personally installed. Although I regret losing what was left of my warranty, the unit is easy to work on and I prefer to do my own maintenance. That being said, I may still have the prophylactic fix done for peace of mind.
Thanks to both of you for getting back to me I can rest a little easier, Sandia Man - I have a couple questions for you..
1)Since you have the thicker tongue and A-Frame why would you still do the prophylactic fix?
2) I would imagine its not the same modication shown in Exhibit A of the settlement since your material is box not C channel correct?
3) Would you pay for this or try to have it paid for with from funds in the settlement?
