To echo some comments above, it'll be tough to stay within the the rear axle gross weight rating for a 250/2500 with a 42' fifth wheel. We have a 2013 2WD GMC diesel with a pretty hefty GVWRR for a 2500 and we're at max on the pin weight with a 36' fiver.
That said, another option for the hitch is to have a turnover ball reinstalled and go with the Andersen Ultimate Fifth Wheel Connection (check it out on-line). It comes it an aluminum version for use with a gooseneck ball and a steel version made to mount on standard bed rails. We are extremely happy with ours.
