Thats a terrible price for a questionable tire compared to a Sailun S637 , which are just half the price of a G614 , and again arguably a S637 are a more dependable tire. It just seems crazy to pay the outrageous price they are getting for a G614, but it does make sense because you are having to pay that extra for the insurance they want so they can fix the damaged trailers . It makes a lot more sense to buy a tire you don't need to pay for insurance.

Complete nonsense! Run the G14's on all rigs past and present. NEVER A PROBLEM. Great tire. Mind you, I do keep proper inflation, do a visual at every stop while in travel, keep tires covered when parked any length of time and never use Armor All. You know, proper care. Look after your good quality tires, rated for your demands and they will look after you.

I recently replaced my OEM Westlake tires with Bridgestone Duravis R250 ribbed tires. When I sat the R250's side by side the Westlakes, it's hard to believe their weight ratings are the same. The LT/E R250's are extremely heavy duty--commonly mounted on 1 ton dually trucks with utility beds and cranes.

I ordered my Tennessee built Bridgestones from Costco for $197 each, and they came directly from the Firestone warehouse in Lavergne, Tennessee 100 miles away. Tires don't get any fresher than that.

Talk to Scott he can tell you exactly what dates you will receive. I bought from him when I went from GY "G" to "H" 17.5's and Alcoa wheels mounted/balanced. Really good people to deal with.

How many problems have you had with your GY "G" tires?

If I were running ST tires or a lesser quality tire I would run a monitor. With the US Made GY's I feel the money spent and something to clutter the inside of my truck are not worth it to ME.

It is your choice, but I run a pyrometer, fuel pressure gauge, and oil pressure gauge on my Cummins diesel. I just look at it as insurance. That engine most likely isn't going to have a problem, but it's nice to know if and when it does.

I did the same on my 98 12V with the power bumped to 300/750 at the rear wheels. But the new truck no need since it's all controlled to not hurt it's self.
