Yet Another Pin Box Bike Rack - Many Pictures

Well, there are a lot of pictures at the link. Here are just a couple of the step-by-step build pictures for my pin box hitch mount bike rack (with a pin box cover/shroud).







I've only done 1 drive with a single bike. I can't wait to see how it goes.

A special thanks goes out to lpxguy here on rv.net. I was able to click through his pictures on PhotoBucket where he had his pre-painted and mounted picture (http://s51.photobucket.com/user/GMtech45/media/IMG_01401_zpsd07ef2e6.jpg.html). That was able to show me the different pieces of the hitch he made and how it went together. I ordered a few things from Amazon (love free prime shipping!) and then it was setting my father-in-law off building like nuts.

    We just ordered a 15 MS 39TKSB3 and the bike rack mount will not work because the front cap sticks past the kingpin! I'm Bummed. So mine will be up for sale in about 3 months.

    I'll PM you... my camper has been sent off to get a new Trail Air/Tri Glide pin box. Which means, I no longer am able to use this bike rack as it is fabricated. :D :C

    I showed my father-in-law the pictures of Cummins12V98 hitch and we think that's what we're going to do. Just have to get the camper back first.

    I was the "employee" but I'm more of a "gopher" ("go for" this, go for that...). Your 14 yo son did more in that one picture than I did with this project!

    I saw that already. I was pretty impressed. Mine is threaded bolts- we'll see how they hold up. The marketing/sales side of this will likely be on hold. :)

    My Thule rack has a screw in place of a pin. It takes the slop out of the rack and receiver tube.
