If the original tires were LT's with over 6000 lbs of capacity on 5200 lb axles, why would you even consider an ST tire? No need for more capacity, no need for less clearance and certainly no need to get into the questionable ST tire environment. My previous unit had 5200 lbs axles and I switched from STs to LTs. Will do the same thing with my new unit, even with 6000 lb axles, I trust LTs much more than STs.
