- amandasgrammaExplorerMy husband is 67 and I'll be 65 in February. We are right now sitting in our new (to us) 5th wheel, the first night. We sold our home, signed off on it last Thursday.. We're going FULL-TIME!!!! AGE.....who cares -- if you can drive the rig and get around, GO FOR IT!!!!! We both feel 50 and yes, we have health problems (in fact I'm having minor surgery next week)but we'll have health problems no matter where we are. I don't want to be one of those that says "I wish I had........."
- Ro_n_JoeExplorer II66 is not too old and I hope to be doing it way past that! It's a different lifestyle and need to be adaptive.
- vegasken34Explorer66 is a great time to start. Enjoy!
- C-BearsExplorerMy wife is that age and she sure isn't too old to be a full timer. As a matter of fact she is going in to have her second knee replacement next week. We figure it will be a lot easier when she comes home from the hospital because the king bed in the FW is 4 or 5 steps from a large master bath (no steps). When she had her first knee done we were in a new 2-story house and that was a problem.

We are thinking of selling our s & b and full timing. My husband is 66 and I am 67 and we are in good health at this time. Has anyone started at those ages?
Not too old at all. I am 65 myself. - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIYou can get old very fast by sitting in the rocking chair or watching t.v. all day long.
Get out there and do things and you'll age slowly and more healthy! - MTPockets1ExplorerAge doesn't matter. If you want to do it now, DO IT! .... If it lasts 20 years or 4 months, you'll never regret it. Don't let it go as you'll look back and say "I wish I had done it".
- restlesswindExplorerTo old ?? Maybe. Some folks are "old" at 65,others are just starting to enjoy life.
I'm 76 DW and is 75,we are in our 9th year of enjoying life as fulltime traveling RVers.
The OP is the only one that can decide what "too old" means. - RoadXYZExplorer II

Ed - we too plan to have a lot in a small southern Iowa town with a garage and parking pad for our rv that will be home base for the summer. It is large enough we could build a small house if need be. It is close to family so we can go to the grandkids ballgames. We will spend winters down south. Right now we go to southern Alabama.
Sounds like you have a "fall back" plan in place, and definitely say go for it .. we are in our mid 70s and have been on the road for 11 years, and for us it works .. and looking around our summer home base, it works for many, many more couples here in the rv park. - edbehnkeExplorerdoesn't matter what age you are...just do it!
lots of people in their 70s are fulltiming it. and fulltiming means different things to different people. some just go one place 6 months and then another place 6 months.
