And in 7 years we have never felt the need to rinse the tanks. Just wait until there are full (burping at us) we dump and put water in the tank to start over again. If stationary for more than a few days I'll leave the gray open using the washer and just make sure I do a load after I dump the black tank to flush the hose.

Good luck with that method. Not sure why you would not take 5 minutes to make sure it is actually clean. You may be slowly making the dreaded Pyramid!
Pyramids grow wihen people who don't use enough water to ensure that all solid matter is completely dissolve, plus we move around so we get a lot of agitation. And since we have 7 years fulltiming, I'm pretty sure we have a good handle on it.

Glad it is working for you.
It is no secret how to avoid pyramids, plenty of water , it works for many. I have had rv's that have had no way to flush other then using one of those wands or keep adding water ,and flushing. Been doing this over 10 years ,and have had no problem . Water, water, water keeps things from building up. I don't care if dump evert three to four days because of using lots of water. If I want to take the five minutes to flush some more I do, if I don't it is no big deal to me. Ya it works for me also.
