You also want to make sure that your vehicle inspections are up to date, and not find out 1/2 way through a trip to Alaska that you 'must' be back in Texas in 10 days to get the vehicle inspected, the registration renewed, and your drivers license will expire in 30 days on your birthday.
Poor information!!! If you check the web site, it reads that if you are OUT OF STATE and inspection/registration is due, you just need to check the box that says "you are out of state". When you return to the state, then get inspected. Drivers license can be renewed on line every other time.
