My take is a little different, I would buy used. Have you rv'd before? Have you rented an rv? We rented 2 class c's and a small class a before we bought a 5th wheel. You don't know what floorplan would be good for you unless you spend time in it. Rent something, go out for a week. See what you like. If you buy new and don't like the floorplan, like others have said it depreciates quickly. There are lots of people out there that spend a boatload of $$ and don't like the one they bought. Find a gently used unit and yes, get an inspection from a certified technician. You can always buy new later.
