schlep1967 your question is almost like this:
schlep1967 - How much did you spend on food last year compared to the neighbor on the left side of your house? How much did you spend on car maintance compared to the other people on your block? There is no right answer. I eat out for lunch everyday, do you? If you don't and you even if you do, and do not eat what I eat, my lunch cost is a lot different than your lunch cost. What I an saying (making a short story longer) is. If you have any worries about $$$$ and doing this don't do it. You are a Senior member you have RV'd you know what it is to spend the night or weekend or more so look at what it costs you now.
Just like I said in my first post. I know there is no "right" answer. But if we can get a sampling of fulltimers that say "I travel weekly and it costs me about this much" and some that say "I stay put for a month or more and it costs this much" and even some that say "I park in Florida for 6 months and Montana for 6 months", those of us that have never fulltimed can figure out about what we would need to have to commit to full timing. And what type of full timing we may be able to afford.
I am not currently ready to head out on the road. I am 47 and the wife is younger. We have/are putting much more than average back for retirement. Our stick home will be paid off within a year. Our vehicles and 5th wheel have been paid off for years.
We plan ahead. If you don't have data on costs of doing something from those that are doing it. It is hard to plan for it.
To those that can understand a simple question, thank you for your reply's. To those that simply cannot fathom how this info may help. Please, just ignore this thread.
