I understand there is no right or wrong answer to this and there are many variables. My question is, What is the average amount I might need to live as a full-timer for one year?
$10,000 - $15,000
$15,000 - $20,000
$25,000 - $30,000
more?
This is assuming I own the camper and truck.
Impossible to answer as we dont know what you owe in monthly payments.
What I did is this: I look at expenses two ways, Variable and Fixed.
Figure out the Fixed expenses, like car payment insurance etc.
Then look at what variable expenses you will lose by getting rid of your house and hitting the road...Electric, gas, food etc.
Now make a general assumption of How many miles you think you will travel in a month and arrive at an average price for a place to park...some nights will be free others in cheap Nat'l or other parks and some in RV parks. This will give you a monthly figure. I used $20 per night. That can go down dramatically if you long term at someplace.
Now I make some other assumptions about food, propane, etc and add those back in.
I can do it on about 15k/year if I wanted to. But that may not be true for you.
Good Luck
