Hopefully we all stay mobile but having a very accessible home is great following even a hip or knee replacement.
Being able to hit the road or come off the road on a moment's notice is one type of freedom that is nice.
We have had multiple surgeries during our 16 full-timing years including knee replacements, shoulder replacements and cancer. It is very easy to recoup in a RV. There always something to hold on to while walking and not a lot of walking to the bathroom or kitchen. Physical therapists and visiting nurses will even come in, in needed. You can go to the best hosipitals in the country for treatment.
As far as being able to come off the road on a moment's notice - we've seen many easily doing it. We would not keep a house for that reason.
Same here. Multiple surgeries, including another one tomorrow. I prefer to recovery in our trailer.
When in the hosptial and in a private room, the toilet was further away from my bed than my whole house on wheels is long!!
