We both have our own cars that we be using to drive around. I do realize that sf will be a huge challenge to consistently urban camp in. But we plan to camp in sf on weekends on limited basis. Our main area would be daly city, south city, burlingame maybe san mateo. I am leaning towards 25 ft class c which would make camping little bit easier opposed to towing.
I have heard that parking in front of parking in front of apartments buildings would be a good location. In any case before I give up on this idea we plan to rent a class c and see exactly how difficult it would be. My wife commutes 2 hrs a day for work so this is why we are really trying to urban camp of that side of the bay. It would allow us the spend more time together, be healthier, go to the gym opposed to just sitting in traffic. I also plan to venture in pacifica and see if they have good locations for camping. Also to clarify we will be very discreet campers, no lawn chairs or slide outs. We will park in our spot late at night, go to work, them move the rv to new spot next night.
One idea I had is asking hotel managers if we can use there lot one day a week since we work close to the area. If I could get 3 hotel for one day a week that would give us 3 days we don't have to worry about. We plan to rent Rv in September when busy season is over. Will definitely keep everyone updated. It would be great if this worked.
