florida pan handle..cheep becouse it is colder than south of orlando spent a winter there and loved it
x2, albeit I didn't go as far as the panhandle!
I spent the first several winters in the lower south of Florida UNTIL I discovered Northwest central Florida WHAT a difference. Nicer scenery is way nicer, the weather is great, no mosquitoes and all just a few hours Nouth of all that humid weather.
Just look at the dept of ag planting zone map. There is a distinct line across Florida where the temperature changes. And IMHO it's dead on.
Can you elaborate a little on this? Like the town/city or campgrounds? Not too familiar with Florida.

I stayed in Williston Crossings RV Resort last winter (Williston, Fl)and I suspect this is in the area he's talking about. Williston is about 15 miles SW of Gainesville.
It seems like Orlando's latitude is the dividing line (lived there for 18 years). Much warmer weather south of that line and definitely much cooler (cold ?) in the winter the further north you go. An interesting exercise is to trace Orlando's latitude around the globe.
