I don't know what type of people are giving advice anymore, but suggesting that $50/night is what you plan for is just way off. I budget $600/month and only rarely do we go over that. We make extensive use of our memberships as well as using Passport America when traveling from point A to point B, and monthly when it makes sense to do so.
