Cost of ownership.

What has it cost you per mile to drive your truck.

I bought a new KR in 2011 and sold it in '16, then bought a '16 and sold it in '17. I put a combined total of 124,000 miles on the trucks. Including all maintenance and repairs it has cost me $.21 per mile.

I'm going to guess the range to be $.10 to $.45 per mile. I'm not including fuel, interest, or insurance.

    I find that sometimes it is better to not know exactly how much I am spending on stuff....

    But, it can sometimes be an interesting cost analysis.

    And... I have not done for my vehicles.

    Add in fuel, interest, insurance and depreciation. It will really ruin your day. :S

    Bought used 2006 in 2008 with 55,000 miles.
    Now at 225,000 miles about 50% towing 10K to 18K
    Approx CDN $.19/mile inc estimated depreciation.

    Mine is $0.IDGAF per mile. I bought what I wanted knowing that I would have to pay more to get it.

    Depreciation is included in the 21 cents.

    I don't know exact numbers but I estimated my fuel, insurance and interest cost and came up with $.33 for a total of $.54. Although I don't have a truck loan I'm still adding in 3% interest as an opportunity cost.

    I don't question it because I might find out I can't afford it:E
